My storyBorn in Athens (Greece) the summer of 86'. Was always singing by instinct and enjoyed participating in local and school choirs. At the age of 5 started piano lessons, mostly guided by my mother, who is a pianist.
During my studies in Panteion University of Athens (MA in Environmental Governance and Sustainable Development), started following singing lessons from a very gifted greek jazz vocalist, Irini Konstantinidi. She introduced me to the wonderful world of jazz and from that moment on things started changing in my life. I finished my studies and started working in a jazz cafe, called Petite Fleur. The elite of the greek jazz scene was performing there every week, giving me the chance to listen and meet a lot of spectacular musicians. The love and support of the owner of the cafe Nikos Fotakis and other fellow musicians such as Evgenia Karlafti, Nestor Dimopoulos and Vasilis Stefanopoulos, encouraged me to start performing. Lots of concerts followed till 2014 when I moved to Belgium. In June 202o I finished my Master's Degree in jazz singing and education at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp. Have the privilege to have lessons from inspiring teachers such as: Kristina Fuchs, Barbara Wiernik, Inge Minten and Ariadne van den Brande. Recently teaching in different music schools in Belgium and performing in various clubs and festivals in Belgium, The Netherlands and Greece. |
